Welcome to Beacon school of motoring in Bodmin.I have been teaching since 2006 and have a very high pass rate due to my relaxed and experience of teaching.Driving should be fun and enjoyable and I make sure that happens with me.I hold the ROSPA gold grade in advanced driving which is one of the highest advanced driving awards you can hold, and I am also a member of the IAM(institute of advanced motorists ) CAM(cornwall advanced motorists)and caadi(cornwall association of approved driving instructors)My previous experience before coming an approved driving instructor with the driving standards agency (A.D.I.D.S.A.)was with the highways agency working for amey highways and Accord mp for over 5 years,my job description was gritter driver(winter maintenance),crash cushion driver running mobile lane closures,traffic management,incident support unit(attending road traffic accidents)various types of machinery including mini digger(5 tonne),dump truck(5 tonne),and I hold an NVQ 2 in road crash barrier fences(installing and repairing).Before that I was a long distance lorry driver for 11years with Imerys(formally ECC heavy transport) china clay company travelling all over the country and sometimes living away from home for up to 5 or 6 days at a time with the 42 tonne articulated lorries . I have a lot of driving experience to pass on so why not come along and give the driving a go,the 1st half hour is free so you have nothing to lose.
